Brian Mosher is a retired High School television media teacher. For nearly two decades of a teaching career that spanned 31 years, while teaching television media at Gander Collegiate he was also the on-air personality at Rogers Television (formerly Cable Atlantic/ Cable 9) in Gander NL.
During the five days when the events of September 11, 2001 closed the airspace and rerouted nearly 7,000 passengers to Gander, NL, Brian would host 11 one hour live shows, providing information and updates as the days unfolded in Gander. It would be the events of these five days that would see his story combined with the story of newspaper reporter Janice Goudie become the character of Janice Mosher in the hit musical “Come From Away”
Brian retired from teaching and television in 2013 and would spend the next five years as part of the CBC Radio Central Morning Show team. He fully retired in 2018 and has spent a large portion of his time since then attending and speaking at various openings and performances of “Come From Away” around the world as well as speaking to visiting groups with bus tours and tourism related events in Gander.
