Examples of differentiation in assignments for special needs, ESOL, etc.
Assignments are differentiated in many different ways. We use Peer tutoring in all levels and most lower level classes will often get help from upper level students who can assist them with learning about the use of various equipment and programs.
Students can have assessments read aloud in the at lab if their IEP calls for it. Mr. Steed coordinates our Tutoring and Saturday School program where students can schedule time for extra help. Mrs. Rockline offers translation services for communication with students and parents.
Tests can have fewer questions and or fewer choices on the multi response.
There are currently no other support staff scheduled in any AV classes during this school year as there were no students who required it.
There are currently no non-English speakers in any AV classes during this school year.
