• Develop a statement that involves you being a leader and an agent for change for something you are passionate about.

JD Russo spoke passionately about his inability to return to a state of inactivity once he became aware of the current problems. This has been my experience as well. After spending only a single week at my mentorship opportunity, I have become fully engaged and will not stop being an agent for change. Russo also encourages each listener to stop surviving and open your heart to wounds. This is incredibly difficult for me as I tend to guard my heart, but this year I am choosing to open my life to new opportunities and become passionate about the children and young adults I will interact with. I want to become more passionate about special needs within our community and I want to begin serving their needs.

This year, I will inspire change within my community, as I become more aware of the special needs present in others lives, and I will encourage the children I am able to interact with.
