COURSE DESCRIPTION: Ag Technology I is open to all sophomores and freshmen who have not taken the course previously. The course is best served as a yearlong course, but students can join at the beginning of 2nd semester. First semester covers an introduction to agriculture, food, and natural resources. Second Semester covers animal science which includes such as small animals, livestock, and meats, reproduction, genetics, nutrition and digestion. FFA participation is highly recommended to get the most out of Ag Tech I.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Ag Technology II is open to all sophomores and juniors who have not taken the course previously. The course is best served as a yearlong course, but students can join at the beginning of 2nd semester. First semester covers the basics of Soil Science with students demonstrating their knowledge at the District FFA Soil Judging Contest. Second semester covers crops, management, business and marketing. FFA participation is highly recommended to get the most out of Ag Tech II.

Second semester covers agvocacy with topics on agricultural communications, and issues in agriculture. FFA participation is highly recommended to get the most out of Advanced Agricultural Topics.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: An introductory course for understanding industrial and agricultural mechanical processes. The course will include units in career, safety, and equipment maintenance and repair. Units will also cover tool use, shop maintenance, and mechanical functions. Students will disassemble and reassemble a single cylinder engine as part of the course.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: An introductory course for understanding metal fabrication. The course will include units in career, safety, and metal fabrication. The course will also focus on understanding metals and their processing. After safety and career units, the students will develop competencies in oxygen acetylene cutting and welding, arc welding, wire feed welding, plasma cutting, TIG welding, and new technologies in metal work. Students will also get certified in Shop Safety (if they have not already done so in Mechanics Technology) and in measuring.
