All About Our Fairs!
We have a variety of FFA members exhibit at both of our local county fairs, at a district fair, and also at the Iowa State Fair. Our chapter shows species such as cattle, sheep, goats, horses, rabbits, and chickens. We also excel with static exhibits in vegetables and farm crops at both local fairs as well as the state fair. We are able to present crops grown in our test plots and school greenhouse which allow members to show off their supervised agricultural experiences while receiving ribbons and premium money. In recent years members have became more involved in livestock judging contest such as the Fayette County Fair in West Union, IA, where a team of four achieved a runner-up overall finish.
