Discussion Based Assessments (DBA) are conversations between you and your instructor where you'll discuss what you've learned in each unit. They can be completed over the phone 📱 or on Zoom 💻. The best part is they are open notes! 📓

Be sure to complete all the assessments in the module including the practice test prior to scheduling a discussion with your instructor. The goal is mastery and you must pass the DBA with at least a 60% to move forward. After you complete the DBA, please submit the assignment for grading with the date it was completed.

TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL DBA EXPERIENCE

A DBA is a one-on-one conversation between you and your teacher (don't worry- it's a fun conversation to share what you learned, as well as ask any questions you may still have from the module)
- - It can be over the phone or on Zoom
  - Turn off speakerphone
  - No one else should be on the phone with you or assist during the DBA
You should be in a quiet environment to hear your teacher’s questions, think about your responses & avoid distractions.
Have a paper, pencil, and regular calculator ready!

The use of websites, apps, or artificial intelligence is not allowed during a DBA.
