Communication
Communication
The home-school connection is very important. Our goal is for teachers and student families to work as partners, ensuring each student's success!
How can you reach us?
Your teacher's contact information can be found on each course Announcement Page.
You can reach your teacher one of three ways:
Phone call-If you reach teacher voicemail, please leave a message including student name and number to return the call.
Text message-please include your name when texting.
Email-you can email your teacher through their Outlook email or through email in Educator.
All FVES staff are available Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM-4:30 PM. Teachers will return all contact within 24 business hours.
Our teachers use a variety of communication resources to keep you informed.
It all starts with the welcome call. The welcome call is a time for teachers and families to get to know each other. The teacher will verify contact information and provide important course information at this time. A successful start begins with your welcome call!
The monthly call is a time for teachers to review student progress in a one-on-one conversation with the learning coach. During this call, the teacher will share grades in the four core courses, celebrate successes, address concerns, and offer additional support as needed. Communication with your teacher is not limited to this monthly call. You are welcome to contact your teacher at anytime!
Teachers will also share newsletters in addition to other types of communication such as 5MF (5 Minute Friday) or Friday Newsletter. You can also check your FOCUS portal for news and events from the district and school. FVES will also share a Week at a Glance every Monday to keep you up to date on all things FVES!
Safety is a top priority. Please take a moment to view the video to the right to learn how you can help keep our school safe.
