Artificial Intelligence
Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI or GAI) has become a part of our everyday lives. AI tools can assist learning but it’s important for our students to understand appropriate usage so that they are both learning and understanding the material, and meeting academic integrity expectations.

Students need to be aware that Gen AI is not always accurate.
For safety reasons, personal information (name, birthdate, address, etc.) should not be entered into the prompt on any Gen AI platform.
No FVES course material may be copy/pasted into a Gen AI prompt.
Any AI generated content used in an assignment must include the proper citation. Submitting AI-generated content as one's own is considered plagiarism.
