It is important for you to submit work every single week in your FLVS class(es). You should go no longer than 7 days between work submissions. It is best to submit work every 2-4 days in your class to show continuous progress and retain the information you are learning.
Communication Policy
To achieve success, students are expected to submit work in each course weekly. Students can learn at their own pace; however, “any pace” still means that students must make progress in the course every week. To measure learning, students complete self-checks, practice lessons, multiple choice questions, projects, discussion-based assessments, and discussions. Students are expected to maintain regular contact with teachers; the minimum requirement is monthly. When teachers, students, and parents work together, students are successful.
This course is designed to be completed in no more than 16 weeks. For your convenience, and to keep you on pace, we have created pace charts to help you meet your goals. Your course schedule, or pace chart, maps out the time you should devote to this class each week. You are expected to follow your course's pace and submit activities for grading in a timely manner. Talk with your teacher if you have questions about your course pace, or have a certain goal you want to meet.
To ensure adequate time for comprehension and mastery, students must work in a course segment consistently for a minimum of 14 days, starting from the date of the first submission. There is a separate 14-day time period for each segment and these time periods cannot overlap. Twenty-eight days of work is required, at minimum, for a two semester course.
