The Fitchburg Public Schools Kindergarten program is a full day program for all students. Kindergarten students will attend the South Street Early Learning Center
All kindergarten students must be 5 years old by September 1, 2026. Students born between September 2, 2020, and September 1, 2021, may enroll for the 2026-2027 school year.
Kindergarten enrollment for the 2026-2027 school year will begin on April 1, 2026.
All Kindergarten students must be 5 years old by September 1, 2025 in order to start school.
Students whose dates of birth fall between September 2, 2019 and September 1, 2020 are eligible to enroll for the 2025–2026 school year.
Step 1: Complete the online registration form. To do so, click here or navigate to the Online Enrollment page of the enrollment website.
Step 2: Receive confirmation from the Enrollment Center that your child's enrollment has been completed.
Step 3: Schedule a Kindergarten screening. All of our kindergartners are screened prior to entering the classroom to ensure they are placed in a classroom that will best fit their educational needs. All screenings are conducted by South Street Early Learning Center teachers and staff. More information about screenings will be provided here at a later date.
