Team members engaged in this group are students and teachers from the Primary School and Elementary School at the Oberursel Campus. The team also engages with the Umweltschule network and has received several awards from the State of Hessen.

At the Primary School:
Regular outdoor learning in the forest, by the pond, in the garden, and in the Nature Studio to build children’s connection with nature
Hands-on exploration of seasonal change, local habitats, plants, animals, weather, and natural materials
Practical stewardship projects such as bumblebee habitats, wild bee sand patches, and pollinator-friendly garden spaces
Special focus on healthy nutrition and student's exposure to fresh seasonal vegetables and herbs
Curriculum links to responsibility, human choices, care for living things, wellbeing, and how we share and protect our environment

At the Elementary School:
Students explore sustainability through selected Units of Inquiry, including ecosystems, resources, energy, markets, migration, and community decision-making.
Children learn how everyday choices can affect people, places, living things, and natural systems.
Outdoor Learning helps students build empathy, care, and responsibility through local habitats, biodiversity, seasonal change, food growing, and shared outdoor spaces.
School values and Responsive Classroom practices support inclusion, collaboration, respect, and responsibility.
Grade 4 and 5 students apply their learning through the PYP Exhibition, Junior MUN, and student-led action connected to real-world issues.
