Workstream of the Sustainability Council

The Parent Workstream seeks to support FIS in extending Sustainability throughout the fabric of the school community, connecting the education/curriculum, operations and student service focus on Sustainability to the broader FIS community.

Our ambition is to enrich the awareness of and practices of Sustainability within community events and to create a visible link for students and families on how the full community practices what our students learn and do each day, guided by the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Team members engaged in this group are parent volunteers from the Oberursel and Wiesbaden campus, either supporting PTG and ABC events, or parent enthusiasts willing to put some attention into how our community can be shaped for a more sustainable future.

Please share your experiences in practicing sustainability! We are always interested in learning about other Sustainable approaches used by other schools and organizations in connecting with and running events, initiatives and practices on behalf of the broader school community.
