The first iteration of the current FIS Strategic Plan was created in 2018 andhas been refreshed each year. Strategic Planning at FIS is aligned to the NEASC accreditation and IB evaluation processes, which follow a synchronized 5-year cycle.
The Journey So Far
2018 - Determined 12 Strategic Impacts based on data from IB Evaluation and NEASC Accreditation in Fall 2017.
2019 - Examined progress and adjusted as necessary.
2020 - Evaluated and reorganised the Strategic Impacts, consolidating from 12 to 8.
2021 - Examined progress and adjusted as necessary, with a particular focus on leveraging the pandemic through the Strategic Impacts.
The Strategic Impacts 2021-22 have been evaluated and ratified according to the schedule below.
FIS is approaching the next NEASC/IB joint accreditation process in 2023. The Strategic Planning Cycle is designed to both feed into and draw from this process, and will result in a new Strategic Plan in June 2024.
