The Fenton Academies provide a variety of after school programming, both directly with our own teaching staff, as well as with some fantastic partner organizations. We are excited to provide a comprehensive list of high-quality free programs to all students, which are available every day until 5:30 pm. Click on the icons below to view a variety of clubs that are designed to "SPARC" your scholar's interests! Based on student requests, staff requests, and new partnerships, our program offerings will continue to grow!

Ballet Folclorico, Puppet-Making, Robotics, Volleyball
Students will have an opportunity to engage with a different animal each class. They will learn about the animal, and be taught how to appropriately interact with it. Then, they will engage in an art project featuring the animal or participate in a fun animal-related game!
Students will receive instruction in region-specific Folkorico dance with accompanying music. As our dancers learn more about this beautiful style of dance, they will be preparing for a performance!
Develop your basketball skills in this fun, educational, and active
class! Students will learn the fundamentals of each position and
basic basketball strategies as they hone their shooting, dribbling,
passing, defending, and ball control skills! Our emphasis is on
sportsmanship, teamwork, and character development. This class is a slam dunk!

This is a fantastic opportunity for students to engage in critical thinking and problem-solving while having fun.
Here are a few reasons why joining the Game and Puzzle Club can be beneficial for our students. Games and puzzles can enhance cognitive skills, encourage logical reasoning, and improve memory. This club will foster teamwork! Working together on puzzles and games helps develop collaboration and communication skills. Games and puzzle also help boost confidence. Completing challenging puzzles gives kids a sense of accomplishment, while games encourage collaborative play. This club will encourage creativity, as students will be able to explore different strategies and approaches to solve problems through puzzling and gaming all while collaborating with peers.

Cheer class emphasizes fitness with warm-ups, stretching, and cheerleading techniques. We will cover the importance of teamwork while working on choreography, basic tumbling, and stunts. You’ll get to show your spirit while building confidence and self-esteem.

Kids will tantalize their taste buds and have fun with food! Explore different recipes each week including appetizers, snacks, desserts, lunch-style entrees and more! Learn about nutrition, dining etiquette, and cooperation skills in this scrumptious class! (If your child has already participated in this high-demand class, we kindly request not signing up again, so that other students may be selected.)
Students learn how to make figurines, mosaics, multi-media sculptures, and more while they learn about famous sculptors like Jeffrey Koons, Kenneth Price, and Walter Furlan! We teach the principles of sculpture, and allow students to explore with various media. Come join the fun!

Perfect your Wizardry skills in this interactive, creative, spell-binding class! Find out which house you belong to and learn how to make potions, use your wand, identify creatures, and more! Witches and wizards of all ages will graduate from the Academy with everything they need to use their magic for good!

Do you miss playing with the toys and games you loved in TK and Kindergarten? Hop aboard The Imagination Station, where we bring back your favorite toys and dive into exciting activities! In this club, you'll build with blocks, play with dolls, create art, and do fun crafts—all while making new friends and becoming part of a creative, supportive community. Whether you're designing a cool structure, making a colorful art project, or having fun with old toys, you'll find plenty of ways to express yourself and enjoy time with others. Let’s play, create, and imagine together!

Make your own jewelry in a hands-on introduction to this exciting and creative art form. Students make professional-looking jewelry using a variety of materials. Among the items created are earrings, bracelets, necklaces, pins, and rings.
Does your child enjoy working with their hands, using Legos, and building? Then our Lego Builders club is the perfect choice for them! Each week, little builders will explore creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork through exciting Lego adventures and projects.
Young photographers will pick up the camera and learn how to truly capture some amazing photographs. This class provides age-appropriate instruction and guidance in the fundamentals of photography and how to produce photographic images using a variety of mediums.
In this hands-on class, students will design and build their own unique puppets using a variety of materials like felt, fabric, foam, and recycled items. From sock puppets to marionettes, the possibilities are endless! But the fun doesn’t stop there—participants will also learn the basics of puppet manipulation, voice acting, and storytelling to stage a mini puppet performance at the end of the class.

In this club, students will have the opportunity to work with Spike Prime Robots. They will learn how to program, design, and make robots with a variety of tools and platforms. At the end of the course, students will showcase their learning during our Open House event in an exciting demonstration!
In this hands-on experience, students will discover how light and sound function as waves and explore their impact on technology. They will learn about vibrations, frequencies, and wave behavior while applying engineering concepts to build their own Bluetooth speaker!
Kids take home every model built throughout the course.

Bright Minds, Bright Futures: 2nd Grade Homework Club!
Calling all second graders! If you need help with your homework, or just want a nice quiet space to complete it, this is the place for you. Join Homework Club so that you can be a super scholar. Come join Ms. Western as she helps students complete their homework correctly and carefully, and provide additional support!

This awesome class is all about cars! Students will use various non-consumable kits to create their own car designs while learning about wheels, axles, gears, motors, and more! They will compete in the Parker-Anderson Grand Prix and take 3 cars home! Let’s get rolling!

Have you ever wondered how a rap artist creates their lyrical flow? Did you know that rap is just rhythmic poetry. Have you ever painted to express your thoughts?
In this class you will learn how to use words, rhythm, and rhyming words to create spoken word poetry, rap and combining painted images to represent your rap or poem.

In this engaging club, students will learn the fundamentals of volleyball, including teamwork, technique and strategy, all while promoting health and fitness!
Yoga and Mindfulness will teach the students new exercises for their bodies and their minds. Students will learn breathing exercises, mindfulness strategies, and learn new stretches to get their bodies moving! They also get the opportunity to slow down and learn the importance of their breath in the regulation of their emotions, helping enhance their social-emotional well-being.
This course focuses on aviation, aerodynamics, and rocketry science. Students will explore wing designs, propulsion methods, gravity, jet engines and motors. With a set of experiments and hands-on learning, stdeutsn will experience first-hand the assembly of different flying machines such as wood planes and electric drones!
