The Fenton Academies provide a variety of after school programming, both directly with our own teaching staff, as well as with some fantastic partner organizations. We are excited to provide a comprehensive list of high-quality free programs to all students, which are available every day until 5:30 pm. Click on the icons below to view a variety of clubs that are designed to "SPARC" your scholar's interests! Based on student requests, staff requests, and new partnerships, our program offerings will continue to grow!

In this exciting and interactive class, students will learn how to sign the alphabet, numbers, emotions, names, places, and so much more! This class incorporates conversation, storytelling, games, and multimedia to teach sign language in a fun way!

Students investigate the fascinating and astonishing worlds of fun engineering and robotics. Students will build different rides (robot models). Each model will be activated by one or more electrical engines, depending on the model, and will simulate the different aspects of the machinery.

Students will have an opportunity to engage with a different animal each class. They will learn about the animal, and be taught how to appropriately interact with it. Then, they will engage in an art project featuring the animal or participate in a fun animal-related game!

Chemistry is amazing! Conduct physical and chemical experiments and learn what makes them work. Investigate acids and bases, polymers, static electricity, and so much more! You’ll learn about atoms and the Periodic Table through fun experiments including Elephant Toothpaste, insta-snow, and a Mentos-Coke explosion! Chemistry has never been so fun!

Dance + movement classes provide not just physiological benefits but help develop healthy self-expression, provides an energy outlet, and improves students' self-perceptions. Non-verbal communications skills are enhanced, and stress and anxiety are reduced. Students are provided a safe space for creative expression, and have the opportunity engage in diverse forms of dance.

Lights, Camera, Action! In this club, students will unleash their inner actor/actress! They will practice their public speaking skills, as well as gain confidence to ultimately participate in a performance!

Do you want to practice some sewing skills? Do you have a passion for fashion? Students will receive instruction in the basics of fashion design, including hand sewing and fabric manipulation; lower grades (K-2) will focus on hand sewing; upper grades (3-6) will make use of machine sewing.

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's a homework hero! 6th grade is full of lots of new learning: math, science, social studies, oh my! Calling all 6th graders to come join our safe, quiet, welcoming environment to receive support and tutoring in math and other 6th grade homework.

Do you want to master your multiplication facts? Multiplication is foundational to math skills and mastering it helps ensure that students master math for years to come. However, multiplication is learned much more easily in a fun environment where students can learn through play. This ongoing club will have students doing weekly multiplication drills, playing multiplication games, and much more.

Our stimulating classes help students explore their innate musical talents. Students collaborate across grade and skill levels to create music. Students are introduced to technology platforms that help them create, distribute, and archive their work. Students' musical horizons are broadened through strategic introductions to diverse musical cultures.

Come learn how to fold origami animals, objects, and much more! Students will get to see how the ancient form of origami folding can be used in modern day engineering in space and the human body.

Turn your recyclables, found objects, and even your family’s household items into precious art! Make sustainable fashion accessories, water bottle hanging planters, CD suncatchers, an egg carton masquerade, and more! With the Recycled Art Workshop, students will develop an appreciation for used materials, learn about recycling and sustainability, and further their understanding of helping the planet!

Why just build robots when you can battle robots?! Students will learn the basics of robotics engineering including levers, pulleys, inclined planes, and more! Design amazing robots that can walk, crawl, and jump on their own using STEM manipulatives such as LEGOs, K’nex and Zoob kits–then put them to the test in battle mode! You’ll even get to build 3 awesome robots to take home!

Develop your soccer skills in this fun, educational, and active class! Students will learn the basics of each position and basic soccer strategies as they practice their shooting, dribbling, passing, defending, and ball control skills all while emphasizing character development, sportsmanship, and teamwork. TK/K After School Resting & Enrichment is for TK and Kinder students who are unable to be picked up at normal dismissal time. This club will provide students a place to rest and recover from their long school day in a safe, fun, and enriching environment. Students will experience read alouds, stretching, playtime, art projects, music, and more!

Students will have an opportunity to stretch their body and minds. They will increase strength, flexibility, coordination, and increase mindfulness. They also get the opportunity to slow down and learn the importance of their breath in the regulation of their emotions, helping enhance their social-emotional well-being.
