The Fenton Academies provide a variety of after school programming, both directly with our own teaching staff, as well as with some fantastic partner organizations. We are excited to provide a comprehensive list of high-quality free programs to all students, which are available every day until 5:30 pm. Click on the icons below to view a variety of clubs that are designed to "SPARC" your scholar's interests! Based on student requests, staff requests, and new partnerships, our program offerings will continue to grow!

In this exciting and interactive class, students will learn how to sign the alphabet, numbers, emotions, names, places, and so much more! This class incorporates conversation, storytelling, games, and multimedia to teach sign language in a fun way!

Students will have an opportunity to engage with a different animal each class. They will learn about the animal, and be taught how to appropriately interact with it. Then, they will engage in an art project featuring the animal or participate in a fun animal-related game!

Develop your basketball skills in this fun, educational, and active class! Students will learn the fundamentals of each position and basic basketball strategies as they hone their shooitng, dribbling, passing, defending, and ball control skills! Our emphasis is on sportsmanship, teamwork, and character development. This class is a slam d-nk!

Come and join the Fenton Academies Chess Club. All students will be able to compete in tournaments with knowledge of (USCF) US Chess Federation rules, openings, middle game, and end game theory. The end-of-year chess champion will receive a trophy and their name will be placed on the Chess Plaque in the main lobby. Join now!

Dance + movement classes provide not just physiological benefits but help develop healthy self-expression, provides an energy outlet, and improves students' self-perceptions. Non-verbal communications skills are enhanced, and stress and anxiety are reduced. Students are provided a safe space for creative expression, and have the opportunity engage in diverse forms of dance.

When the past fuses with the future...In this unique program, developed by Stem&More’s team of experts, kids will enter the fascinating Jurassic world while building challenging robot models of dinosaurs. Building these one of a kind Dino-robots will introduce students to the fundamentals of robotics. As kids use transmission gears and other electronic tools, they will develop thinking strategies, motor skills and dedication. Students will also have the chance to experiment in archeological digs, in which they will study fossils of a variety of dinosaurs. Join us in an amusing and engaging journey into the past and the future!

Lights, Camera, Action! In this club, students will unleash their inner actor/actress! They will practice their public speaking skills, as well as gain confidence to ultimately participate in a performance!

TK/K After School Resting & Enrichment is for TK and Kinder students who are unable to be picked up at normal dismissal time. This club will provide students a place to rest and recover from their long school day in a safe, fun, and enriching environment. Students will experience read alouds, stretching, playtime, art projects, music, and more!

Attention environmentalists! The Fenton Academies Environmental Club is a group of students and teachers that are dedicated to raising awareness about issues related to the health of our planet. We will raise awareness about environmental topics such as recycling, pollution, wild animal protection, and environmentally-friendly gardening. Our goal is to have a positive impact as individuals, a school community, and as citizens of the planet Earth.

Join to learn the basics of creating a podcast! In this club, you’ll learn how to map out a podcast of the topic of your choice (approval by teacher) with a partner or two. We’ll discuss how microphones capture sound, how to use GarageBand to format and edit your recording, and eventually create a Google Site to host the club’s recordings!
