Comm Tech - Computer Science Investigations

Comm Tech - CSI, the seventh grade CTE elective offering, is, perhaps, the one of the most practical of all middle school courses. During this course, students study various digital communication mediums then plan and create projects of their own in the computer lab and/or on their assigned Chromebook. This class aligns with the recommendations of the 21st Century classroom by giving students to ability to express learning through a number of digital platforms.

Although students will be provided with required technology at school, access to a personal computer, the Internet and a digital camera at home and for school use is helpful.

This course is very demanding. Students ranging from the reluctant to the highly-able learner will be challenged. Like the other CTE electives, students will get out of this class only what they are willing to put into it. Students need to show up to each class focused, ready to learn and prepared to work.
