About Experimental Game Design

Specializing In:

Design, Development & Coding

Instructor:

Dr. Ryan Kellinghaus

Description:

The Experimental Game Design program prepares students to master skills in virtualization, simulation, design & development.  This is accomplished utilizing computer gaming processes from concept to creation. The resulting skills are in great demand in the medical, military, educational/training, and recreational gaming industries and are expected to only grow in demand and salary potential for the foreseeable future.

Students will develop real-world skills using industry standard virtualization, simulation, and game development platforms, such as Unity and Unreal Engine.  Python, C#, C++, and other related programming languages and environments will be the student’s programming playground.

Additionally, students will create Virtual Reality (VR) 3D environments, Augmented Reality (AR) assets, Motion Capture (MoCap) animated 3D characters, and explore the world of Artificial Intelligence (AI) via AI robotics and Autonomous vehicles.

Grades: 9-12

Students will prepare to earn multiple certifications in development & design, such as:
