In 6th grade your child worked with mostly the positive end of the number line. They conducted adding, subtracting, multiplication, and division problems focusing on positive rational and irrational numbers. This year in 7th grade, we will also incorporate positive rational and irrational numbers, but we will also focus on the negative side of the number line. Your child will learn to add, subtract, multiply, and divide negative rational and irrational numbers. Khan Academy is a particularly great resource because it has video lessons that walk you through each of the 7th grade standards and comprehension checks to assess understanding.

**Daily notes will be added to your child's google classroom and your child will have a weekly homework sheet due on Fridays.
