I graduated from Cleveland State Community College with an Associate in Secondary Education in 1987, Lee College with a Bachelor of Science in 1989, North Georgia College and State University with a Master of Special Education in 1994, and Brenau University with a Specialist in Middle Grades Language Arts and Social Studies in 1997. Additionally, I earned National Board Certification in 2004.
My teaching career began in Polk County, Tennessee, at Copper Basin High School. In the spring of 1991, I was hired me to teach at East Fannin Elementary School. For the past twenty-eight years (counting this one), I have taught at Fannin County Middle School.
This year I will be working as an interventionist with the seventh grade ELA teachers. The groups of students that I will work with will be fluid, which means the groups will change throughout the school year.
