Last Week

F&M looks to rebound against Ursinus after dropping two tough games to York (Pa.) and ninth-ranked Kean last week.

The Diplomats fell to York 2-0 Wednesday afternoon. F&M outshot YCP in the game 11-6, but the Spartans found the back of the cage in the second and third periods to push past the Diplomats. Keira Boensch led the F&M attack with two of her four shots on net. Read the recap here.

F&M faced ninth-ranked Kean Saturday afternoon. The Diplomats put up a tough fight, but the Cougars scored a third quarter goal to edge F&M 1-0. The offensive attack for either team was scarce as both teams played towards the middle of the field for the majority of the first half. The Cougars got on the board 1:30 into the third quarter on a score off a penalty corner. The Diplomats had a chance for the equalizer early in the fourth quarter when Sophie Carroll had an open shot in front of the Cougar's net. Carroll's shot went through the legs of the Kean goalkeeper, but narrowly missed the far post and rolled out of play. F&M had four penalty corners in the final 10 minutes of regulation, but couldn't find the back of the net. Read the recap here.
