The Franklin & Marshall baseball team (14-15, 6-3 CC) faces a busy week against three Centennial Conference (CC) opponents. F&M begins a home-and-home series with Washington College (7-24, 2-8 CC) at Caplan Field on Tuesday, before traveling to face the Shoremen on Friday. Both games are scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. The Diplomats will then honor its seven seniors on Senior Day when it hosts Haverford (15-12, 5-5 CC) for a doubleheader, beginning at noon. Franklin & Marshall then wraps up the weekend with a home game against Swarthmore (16-12, 6-3 CC), that was originally postponed on March 30 due to rain, on Sunday at 11:00 a.m.
Last Week
The Diplomats earned three wins in four conference games last week. F&M began it's four-game stretch with a 9-6 victory at home against Ursinus on Tuesday. Trailing 6-5 in the bottom of the sixth, the Diplomats scored four-answered runs to race past the Bears in the contest. Spencer Berson racked up three hits, while Bobby Falese and Andrew Filippelli recorded two each. Thomas McLaughlin earned his second win of the season as he struck out one and didn't allow a hit in 1.1 inning of relief. Franklin & Marshall then went on to split its home doubleheader with Muhlenberg on Saturday. The Diplomats dropped the first game, 3-1, before bouncing back with a 7-4 victory in game two. In the second game, F&M overcame a three-run deficit by plating three runs in the bottom of the third and bottom of the sixth to jump ahead of the Mules on the scoreboard. Michael von Zuben registered a team-high three hits, while Drew Butera tallied two. Butera, Hoffman, and von Zuben each brought in two RBI each in the win. Will O'Connor earned the win in the game after pitching well in relief. The sophomore struck out three and gave up no earned runs in 4.2 innings of work. On Sunday, F&M tied its single-game home run record by blasting five in a 24-9 win at Ursinus. Hoffman homered twice while Berson, Butera, and Nolan McCloskey each hit one out in the win. In addition to hitting his second-career grand slam, Berson recorded a career-high six RBI in the contest. Hoffman followed by bringing in five in the victory. Franklin & Marshall swept Washington College in its home-and-home series with the Shoremen last season. F&M beat WAC 13-5 in game one before overpowering Washington College, 24-16, in game two at Clipper Magazine Stadium. In the 24-16 win, Berson led the Diplomats with three hits, followed by Butera, AJ Desautels, Filippelli, and Evan Varga each tallying two. Butera, Filippelli, and Hoffman drove in a game-high five RBI each in the victory. Hoffman also tied the F&M career home run record at 14 with a go-ahead grand slam in the sixth inning. Franklin & Marshall split its doubleheader with Haverford last season. In the 13-6 win, Butera led the Diplomats with three hits, followed by Pat Elliott '23 and Hoffman each recording two. The Diplomats opened Centennial Conference action in late March with the Garnet defeating F&M, 7-1. In the game, Berson improved his hitting streak to 14 games with a single in the eighth. Washington College Team Preview
The Shoremen are currently on a two-game losing streak after dropping to Haverford and Ursinus over the weekend. Washington College has two CC wins this season with victories over Swarthmore, 10-7, and Ursinus, 18-8. Logan Yi leads WAC in batting average (.447), slugging percentage (.702), runs scored (34), RBI (35), home runs (five), and total bases (80). Pitcher Izaiah Santiago (1-5) holds a 5.74 ERA with a team-high 42 strikeouts in 42.1 innings.
Haverford Team Preview
Before coming to Lancaster on Saturday, Haverford begins a two-game series with Muhlenberg on Tuesday, with game two being played on Friday afternoon. Chuck Norton leads the team in batting average (.312), while Harry Genth leads in slugging percentage (.608). Pitcher Mike Rabayda sports a 3.55 ERA, while leading the Fords with 63 strikeouts in 45.2 innings pitched.

The Garnet are set to play Ursinus and McDaniel before heading back to Lancaster on Sunday. Swarthmore is led by Aidan Sullivan, who is hitting. 456 with 86 total bases, 25 extra base hits, five home runs, and 28 RBI. Pitcher Andrew Moy led the Garnet to a game one victory over the Diplomats earlier this season, tossing five strikeouts and allowing no earned runs in eight innings pitched.
