English 10 Regents
Students continue to develop and enhance their reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills through classwork and homework. They read a variety of literary genres, learn how to prepare a research paper, and continue lessons in vocabulary, writing, and usage.

English 10 Honors
Students study literature in depth, with an emphasis on critical reading. Writing assignments include critical analysis of literature and assignments in poetry and composition formats. Students complete independent research projects and a research paper. They also study vocabulary and the sophomore writing unit. This course is recommended for highly motivated students who have mastered basic skills. A 90 or above average in 9H is recommended. Summer reading is required prior to the course.
