The purpose of this Roadmap is to provide Ohio educators (teachers, instructors, aides, and assistants) with a single point of reference for evidence-based instructional strategies that enhance curriculum and instruction for Ohio educators to best support the education of English Learners.

These resources aim to bolster academic, student wellness, and college and career outcomes for Ohio's English Learners. Resources were created through a collaborative effort between the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce and The Ohio State University's Center on Education and Training for Employment along with a dedicated group of family advocates, community leaders, school district staff, and teachers.
Colorín Colorado Colorín Colorado is the premier national website serving educators and families of English language learners (ELLs) in Grades PreK-12. Colorín Colorado has been providing free research-based information, activities, and advice to parents, schools, and communities around the country for more than a decade.
Colorín on the Go Colorín on the Go is a new web app from Colorín Colorado for teachers of English language learners (ELLs)! It offers more than 100 practical, shareable strategies featuring our most popular content across topics such as: ideas for new teachers of ELLs, ELL instruction, family engagement, and social and emotional support.
ELL2.0 Kentucky-based EL educators, Irina McGrath, PhD and Michelle Shory, EdD, are Google Certified trainers who share ideas for fusing pedagogy and andragogy with innovative and engaging methods that often include technology.
Multilingual Learners Learning Modules The University of Cincinnati Systems Development and Improvement (SDI) Center offers these online, self-paced professional learning modules for educators to enhance their skills in serving multilingual English learners. The series demonstrates evidence-based practices for supporting literacy and language learning and gives opportunities for teachers to reflect on their practices.
