Work vs Kinetic Energy- Interactive
As you're working through the interactive, please keep in mind that we can calculate Work using 1 of 2 different ways. Work is a force over a distance as well as the change in KE. It is a good idea to verify this idea as you work through each part. There may be a bit of discrepancy between values, but it mostly has to do with rounding issues by the software.
For Part 2: When it comes to making a claim and finding supporting evidence, do not over think this. Basically just think about what we know about work and back it up with collected data.
For Part 4: You'll create and equation that links KEi, KEf, W and TE. Please create the formula to highlight Thermal Energy. This means you need to think of how you can find TE given the other values.
Finally for Part 5, the Force is in a non-horizontal direction, but there is a horizontal displacement. This means when you calculate the work being done, you need to do so with the appropriate amount of force. I will check your calculations.
