One of the core concepts in Algebra is the function. A function works much like a computer program in which you input a number and a value is returned. In this unit we will investigate these input and outputs and establish some rules that go with them. This idea is one that you will work with through much of your mathematics "career" throughout high school and college.
We will also begin our year-long journey into Factoring. This is a process that takes time to master and will come in handy with later studies.
