Scholarship
Leadership
Service
Character
Based on GPA, candidates are invited to fill out a Candidate Form.
Their GPA fulfills the scholarship requirement.
Through the Candidate Form process, candidates are asked to highlight their leadership ability and their service to their community.
In order to be offered membership, a candidate must demonstrate a minimum of both of the following:
1 leadership role
1 service activity
Additional achievements in either of these categories (leadership or service) cannot take the place of these minimum requirements
If a candidate fails to complete either the Leadership or the Service section of the Candidate Form, the Faculty Council should look for demonstrations of these criteria in other areas of the Candidate Form
Candidates will list the name of two current or former teachers to use as character witnesses
Candidates are encouraged to ask the two teachers before submitting their names. Failure to ask first may negatively affect the candidate’s overall character evaluation score
The Faculty Council will contact the two teachers submitted by the candidate and ask that they complete a brief survey/character evaluation on the candidate
The information submitted by the evaluators will be numerically tabulated on a scale of 1-5 and then averaged
Candidates must have an average score of 4.0 to be offered membership
