Kellogg: the Cereal that Changed Breakfast Forever
John Harvey Kellogg the father of our modern cereal. J. H. Kellogg, born in 1852, created cornflakes with his brother Will Kellogg—they were both Seventh-day Adventists in Battle Creek Michigan. Their parents did not give them much of an education because they believed Christ would come back before they would need it. Despite this J. H. Kellogg got a doctorate. Corn flakes were accidentally created because he was trying to make a new bread for his strict diet called “Biological living”. Our modern cereal that has revolutionised breakfast was created because of a weird diet that was believed to make you sin less. The Kellogg company today has 18 brands that can be found in almost every grocery store. Kellogg's has become a staple of breakfast. Next time you pour yourself a bowl of Kellogg Corn Flake remember the strange history behind it and the man you accidentally changed breakfast forever.
