  1. Can I attend different workshops in different hubs? Would I register for multiple conferences?

Yes, you can attend different workshops and conferences. We encourage families to attend their regional hub however, we understand scheduling around families. Please register only ONCE. The zoom link is the same for all 3 conferences.

2. Does this count for my 10 hours of training for re-licensure?

Yes, please complete the evaluations following each session. You will receive certificates with the number of hours for your records.

NOTICE: As a foster parent you can claim 10 hours for the whole conference even though the certificates you receive won’t add up to 10 hours total. It is your responsibility to keep track of hours.


3. Are CEUs available?

Yes, there are 3.5 CEUs available. There is no cost for these. 2.5 hours for the keynote, Honor Yesterday Treasure Today, in Session 1, and 1 hour for Ethics of Confidentiality in Foster Care in Session 3.

4. How do I find the link to join the conference?

5. Which workshops (breakout rooms) can I attend? Can I change my mind?

There is a list of workshop titles, speakers, and a brief for each on the schedule page of this brochure. You can choose up to the start time of the workshop. Due to each workshop having 45 minutes of content, we cannot allow others to join a different workshop once you have joined.

6. How will I get certificates for the trainings I attend?

At the end of the workshop, you will be given a link to fill out a quick evaluation to receive your certificate for that workshop. For a short period after the conference, you will find the evaluation links on the schedule page for the hub you attended.

7. How do I access childcare reimbursement?

Childcare reimbursement information was collected at registration. You will receive further email close to your conference dates. If you have other questions please email Lesley Crane at lcrane@ewu.edu.

8. Does the conference cost?

This conference is a partnership between the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare and the Family Resource & Training Center. It is free to all foster/kinship/adoptive families, social workers, and community partners.

9. How do I get my swag bag?

If you registered 2 weeks before the conference start date, the swag bag will be mailed to your address.

10. What are we going to do without Kim(our FRTC director)?

We are incredibly thankful for the passions & skills Kim has given in her work, for our families & for us. She has built a solid team in all of us to carry on.
