EDTE 502 - Essential Classroom Technology for Teachers - SNHU
Course description from the syllabus.
The importance of technology in our society cannot be overstated. However, teaching with technology can be overwhelming, if not frustrating. How do you sort through all the options available, make sure you know how to use what you select, and keep students on task while using technology? Whether you’re using tech tools in a traditional classroom or teaching fully online, this course arms you with concrete strategies for how to choose, use, and monitor technology in the classroom. You will learn to use technology as a teaching and planning tool, design meaningful learning experiences, incorporate technical terminology in your speech, and accommodate underserved populations such as special education and English language learners. You will also learn how to plan instruction that meets the standards for technological literacy set forth by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) and the Common Core State Standards (CCSS). After finishing this course, you’ll be able to immediately implement technology-based activities in your classroom, giving your students the opportunity to connect to content in new and engaging ways.
Dudley's Tech Tips - Updated Regularly
I built this website as a tool in this class to house and present materials and tutorials that I was creating to support my teachers and administrators. I update this site regularly with added information. It has become a hub of information that the staff in both of the schools that I support use.
On this site, I have information to help teachers use many of the tools that the teams use in the building regularly for productivity as well as teaching.
