Digital Citizenship and Safety for Elementary and Middle School Students.

I created these curriculum programs using Common Sense Media Digital Citizenship lessons as a base.  I then built on to them using current pieces of information and additional sources to bolster the lessons and make them more relevant. 

I teach a six-week course at Albert D. Lawton Intermediate School to all sixth-grade students.  I rotate all the students through this class which covers safety items like creating secure passwords and how to protect personally identifiable information.  We also dive deep into how social media has changed how we interact with each other and the world.  The class culminates with developing best personal practices to respectfully interact with others and to maintain a healthy relationship with Technology.
