Mrs. Malone

Welcome to 2nd grade! My name is Mrs. Malone, and I am so excited to be your child’s teacher this year. This is my ninth year in the classroom. After spending five wonderful years teaching Kindergarten, this is now my fourth year teaching 2nd grade.

Teaching reading is my absolute passion, and nothing brings me more joy than watching young learners unlock new stories. When I’m not at school, you can usually find me reading a good book, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, or enjoying a cold iced coffee!

I believe that a strong partnership between home and school is the key to a successful year. Please know that my door is always open. Feel free to reach out to me at any time with questions, ideas, or concerns.

A quick tip for learning at home: Beyond keeping up with daily homework, the single best way to help your child grow academically is to read, read, read together every single day!
