To start your volunteering journey with EWB, the very first thing you should do is complete the General Training module featured on this page. Afterwards you can choose to complete the Maths Without Limits Training or School Outreach Training modules depending on your interest - or both!

Welcome to the EWB General Training Module! This module will introduce you to our club and teach you how to get involved as a volunteer with us in 2025!
You will need approximately 10 minutes to complete it.

In this video, Jasper and Jackson will go through some of the administrative information which applies to all of our clubs activities.
First they will go through the EWB Code of Conduct. Then they will mention how to get your Working With Children Check (WWCC), a crucial step before becoming a volunteer with us. Finally, they will finish by discussing the Melbourne Plus Award.

If you already have a Working With Children Check (WWCC), please skip this section.
Please follow the link below to apply for your WWCC, there is an in depth step-to-step guide on how to obtain your check on their website. Remember, you can apply for the FREE WWCC, as you don't need to pay for your check if you are volunteering. If you are having any issues with applying your WWCC, please feel free to contact us with your queries.

There will be some specific information you need to provide when signing up for a WWCC, whether you are submitting a new application or already have a WWCC. Please enter the following information below on your application:
Occupational Field: 44 Educational - state schools (all primary, secondary, technical and special schools)

Once you have completed your online WWCC application, your application will take a few weeks to be processed. Once it has been accepted, you will receive an email with your WWCC number.
Once you have your WWCC, you can come back to this page to submit your WWCC number using the form provided below.
Once you have watched all the videos in the EWB General Training module and familiarised yourself with all the additional information above, you can complete the EWB General Training module quiz below. Please note, you will need to achieve a passing mark of 80% or higher before you continue with subsequent training modules for School Outreach and Maths Without Limits.
