Innovation Challenge is an exciting excursion day held on campus at The University of Melbourne towards the end of November. On this day, high school students in years 9/10 get a chance to explore our wonderful campus as well as take part in an exciting competition.
Receiving a case study proposing a certain issue that affect our Indigenous communities, students have a a few weeks prior to this day to create a sustainable solution to this problem. These students then get a chance to present their work in a formal oral setting with judges who provide detailed feedback for each group. Learning invaluable critical thinking, problem solving and presentational skills, we aim to prepare these students to consider the human aspect of engineering problems, all whilst meeting lots of new friends!
We're proud to be partnered with Bentley Education who were instrumental in helping us run our biggest Innovation Challenge yet last year! This year we look forward to returning the Innovation Challenge to an in person setting and making it even better.
If you're looking to apply, we will start recruiting in the Winter break.
