Early Childhood Education & Teaching Academy

Early Childhood Education and Teaching Academy: in this pathway, students learn theories and styles of teaching children from pre-school through high school including classroom management, development of classroom lessons and strategies to work with struggling students. You have the opportunity to work in a pre-school or in an elementary school.

Recommended Classes: Child Psychology – Preschool, Child Psychology – School age, Child Psychology – Advanced, Child Psychology Spanish Immersion, Teaching Academy and GRADS (for our pregnant and parenting students)

Foods & Nutrition

Foods & Nutrition/ProStart: in this pathway, students are provided with a background for careers in food preparation and nutrition which can be used at home or in a professional career. ProStart is a nationally recognized two-year program designed by the National Restaurant Association. On the job training along with classroom instruction enable students to experience all aspects of operating and managing a food service establishment and help students build good business and management skills.
