Their responsibilities include recording patient history and personal information, measuring vital signs, assisting with medical examinations, administering injections or medications, scheduling appointments, preparing blood samples for laboratory tests, and maintaining accurate medical records.
With a Chapter 74 Medical Assisting education and industry certifications, students can pursue the following entry-level roles:

Perform clinical and administrative tasks to support physicians in outpatient settings.
Phlebotomist
Collect and prepare blood samples for testing (requires certification).
EKG Technician
Operate electrocardiogram equipment to monitor heart function (requires certification).
Pharmacy Technician
Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and customer service (may require certification).
Surgical Technician Assistant (entry-level support roles)
Help prep equipment and rooms for procedures (further training often needed).
Ultrasound or Radiology Aide
Support technicians in imaging departments (limited direct access without college, but an intro role is possible).
Medical Records or Health Information Clerk
Maintain and organize patient records in healthcare offices.
Patient Service Representative / Medical Receptionist
Schedule appointments and greet patients at clinics or offices.
EMT (Emergency Medical Technician)
