Desirae Peary, Medical Assisting Instructor, has six years of teaching experience, all at Everett High School, where she founded the Medical Assisting program in 2019. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and brings industry experience in outpatient medical assisting, BLS instruction, and complex care support—expertise she draws on daily to prepare students for real-world clinical environments.
Desirae loves helping students discover their strengths, build confidence, and envision a future for themselves in healthcare—often in the same classrooms where her own journey began as an Everett High graduate. Her favorite activities are the hands-on clinical skill labs, where students practice taking vitals, gathering patient histories, and running simulations that help them feel like true healthcare professionals.
A proud EHS alum and Everett parent, Desirae enjoys reading and spending time with her children, who have also attended Everett Public Schools. She encourages her students with a simple, steady piece of wisdom: “If you want to work with patients, start by practicing patience with others and with yourself.”
She is committed to helping every student find their confidence and see themselves as future healthcare leaders.
