Corey Bourassa (aka "Chef B"), Culinary Arts Instructor, brings nine years of teaching experience to Everett High School, including seven spent shaping future chefs in the EHS kitchen. He is a double graduate of the Culinary Institute of America with AOS degrees in Culinary Arts and Pastry Arts, and he also holds a B.S., M.Ed., and CAGS in Occupational Vocational Education and Educational Leadership from Fitchburg State University. Before entering education, Corey worked as a chef at 4 Oaks Country Club, Gabi’s Smoke Shack, and Not Your Average Joe’s.
Corey enjoys teaching because it allows him to pass on the depth of knowledge he gained in the rigorous culinary field. His favorite lesson is yeast-raised donuts—because, as he says, who doesn’t love a great donut?
In November 2024, Corey was honored with the Epicurean Club of Boston’s Dr. Earle Test Educator of the Year Award. Outside the kitchen, he’s an avid license-plate collector with nearly 5,000 plates in his personal collection. His philosophy is simple: taste your food; life is better with butter and salt.
