Project from the IV. Collaboration challenge - Clusters - cluster development addresses the development of cluster activities and processes in the innovative areas of Smart regions and other related fields. As a result of these activities, the innovation opportunities of cluster members will be identified and developed and the results of the development and implementation of innovative technologies and applied research in the Czech Republic will be applied. The project addresses the creation of an environment and the search for financial resources for easier and faster implementation of innovative technologies and results of science and research (applied research), sharing information on smart solutions and the emergence of smart cities and regions, creating an open data sharing platform and ensuring cyber security.

The causes of the problems lie in the insufficient interconnection of regional partners from different areas for the purpose of system management of the Smart region. The aim of the project is therefore to create an environment and to seek financial resources for easier and faster introduction of innovative technologies into everyday life, to share information on smart solutions and the emergence of smart cities and regions. Specifically, the creation and support of advisory centers, the creation of professional platforms and information sharing reinforcing the synergy effect while verifying the results of applied research in practice, activities in the area of human resources development.

In the course of implementation, the human resources of the cluster management will be developed, its prestige, national and transnational awareness of the cluster and its members will be increased, new services for cluster members will be introduced in the area of ​​innovation and business activities development. The needs of the membership base will be mapped, the overview of the current situation in the EU cluster policy will be improved and complementary partners will be identified to complement the cluster's professional competences in order to intensify cooperation in innovative technologies implementation, improve cluster management, cluster excellence and support for the implementation of the concept of open innovation, development of innovative projects within the framework of sustainable technologies implemented in cooperation with international corporations, strengthening the cluster brand - raising awareness of the cluster's activities and popularizing its activities and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in the development of their application in foreign markets.
