ESU 4 Consortium Information

2025-26 Grant

In March 2025, superintendents were asked to indicate their intent to consort Title III funds with the ESU 4 Title III Consortium for the 2025-26 school year (via Adobe Sign).  These agreements are held on file and are used by NDE to allocate Title III funds to districts and consortia as eligible.

2024-25 Grant

In March 2024, superintendents were asked to indicate their intent to consort Title III funds with the ESU 4 Title III Consortium for the 2024-25 school year (via Adobe Sign).  These agreements are held on file and are used by NDE to allocate Title III funds to districts and consortia as eligible.

For the 2024-25 grant year (7/1/2024 - 9/30/2025) our English Learner (EL) grant includes 23 districts from southeast and south central Nebraska (primarily ESU regions 4, 5, and 9). The K-12 EL population of our member districts ranges from 1 student to 103 students (as of summer 2024), which means the individual district allocations would range from approximately $99 to nearly $11,000. However, member districts should be more concerned with our overall budget of $40,635 plus significant carryover from the previous year. We use these funds to provide consortium-wide professional development, supplemental curricular materials, and EL-related resources. Also, when districts have a local EL-related expense  allowable under the federal regulations, they should request funding for the expense regardless of the district's individual allocation.

2023-24 Grant

In April 2023, superintendents were emailed information and a form  through Adobe Acrobat Sign regarding their intention to consort Title III funds with the ESU 4 Title III Consortium.

For the 2023-24 grant year (7/1/2023 - 9/30/2024) our English Learner (EL) grant includes 23 districts from southeast and south central Nebraska (ESU regions 4, 5, and 9). The K-12 EL population of our member districts ranges from 1 student 105 students (as of June 2023), which means the individual district allocations would range from approximately $129 to nearly $14,000. However, member districts should be more concerned with our overall budget of $45,651 plus significant carryover from the previous year. We use these funds to provide consortium-wide professional development and resources. Also, when districts have a local EL-related expense  allowable under the federal regulations, they should request funding for the expense regardless of the district's individual allocation. 

Beginning in 2023-24, ESU 6 is managing a Title III Consortium for its districts.  We'll continue to work closely together to maintain support and collaboration!  Title III Letter to ESU 6 Districts 04.03.23

In April 2022, superintendents were asked to indicate their intent to consort Title III funds with the ESU 4 Title III Consortium for the 2022-23 school year (via DocuSign, 04.07.22).  These agreements are held on file and are used by NDE to allocate Title III funds to districts and consortia.

The K-12 EL population of our member districts ranges from 1 student 120 students (as of June 2022), which means the individual district allocations would range from approximately $130 to nearly $15,000. However, member districts should be more concerned with our overall budget of $69,262 plus significant carryover from the previous year. We use these funds to provide consortium-wide professional development and resources. Also, when districts have a local EL-related expense  allowable under the federal regulations, they should request funding for the expense regardless of the district's individual allocation.

2020-21 Grant

In *May 2020, superintendents were mailed information and a form regarding their intention to consort Title III funds with the ESU 4 Title III Consortium.   (*Typically, letters are mailed in March.  Due to COVID-19, letters were mailed in early May.)

For the 2020-21 grant year (7/1/2020 - 9/30/2021) our English Learner (EL) grant includes 34 districts from southeast and south central Nebraska (primarily ESU regions 4, 5, 6, and 9). The K-12 EL population of our member districts ranges from 1 student to over 120 students (as of June 2020), which means the individual district allocations would range from approximately $120 to nearly $14,700. However, member districts should be more concerned with our overall budget of $59,485 plus significant carryover from the previous year. We use these funds to provide consortium-wide professional development and resources. Also, when districts have a local EL-related expense  allowable under the federal regulations, they should request reimbursement for the expense regardless of the district's individual allocation.
