Session Description
The Cuyahoga County Board of DD has developed two projects over the last few years to enhance a person's knowledge and experience with assistive technology. Our Customized Living Environment (CLE) is available for tours and features a number of products throughout the kitchen, living room, bathroom, and bedroom. Last year, we opened the TryTech Apartments where individuals can spend around three weeks living in an apartment with pre-existing technology to help them with various tasks as needed.

Mike Moats, Tech for Life
Michael has worked in the disability field over thirty years within the vocational and independent living programs. For more than half that time, he has focused on Assistive Technology for people of all ages who have physical, sensory, and cognitive disabilities. Since working for the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities, he has helped address needs of individuals with various products like Alexa, home devices, reminder systems, and products for those with visual or physical difficulties.
