This session will address how work-based learning can be included in all students' educational experience. We will discuss Ohio's definition and requirements for work-based learning, and how to begin partnering with local businesses to implement and expand opportunities for students.
Brenna Bartlett serves as an Assistant Director in the Office of Career-Technical Education at the Ohio Department of Education. In her role, Brenna oversees the Business Administration, Finance and Marketing career field pathways, Career-Based Intervention and Job-Training Coordination programs, work-based learning, and the Ohio Tech Prep Regional Centers. She also collaborates with other agency team members to oversee initiatives in career-technical education for middle school, equity in career-technical education, and liaisons with the Office for Exceptional Children to support students with disabilities in secondary transition.
