OTES 2.0 EVALUATOR CREDENTIALING

The implementation of Ohio Teacher Evaluation System (OTES) 2.0 will require a new credential for those who evaluate teachers. ALL EVALUATORS will need to participate in OTES 2.0 training before they can become credentialed to evaluate teachers in the OTES 2.0 model.

Evaluator credentialing is differentiated based on evaluator experience:

  • OTES 2.0 Bridge Training is for participants have been credentialed as evaluators under OTES 1.0. This credential need not be current.

  • OTES 2.0 New Evaluator Training is for new evaluators who did not hold an OTES 1.0 credential.

Please search OTES 2.0 in STARs for registration information. Sessions are scheduled throughout the year. ESCs are offering a variety of in-person, synchronous and asynchronous combinations of training modalities to fit you schedule and needs/preferences.

Teacher leaders, evaluation committee members, and district leaders who may not be responsible for evaluating teachers are welcome to attend the training for an in-depth study of the OTES 2.0 model.
