Students who want to enroll in these classes are required to do the following:

• Complete the required enrollment documents (by appointment) or digitally

• Be administered the Test for Adult Basic Education (TABE) for pre-assessment in-person or remotely

• Attend an HSE Pathways to Success Orientation session

• Attend an advising session with your Literacy Instructor remotely

• Complete 40 class contact hours or more

• Complete 2-4 hours outside of class in your Distance Learning Curriculum (Essential Education)

• Be administered a post-assessment in-person

• Do not miss three or more absences in an 8 week cycle

• Actively participate in the remote classroom.

You will need to following items to enroll into our Remote Learning

• • Technology Device (desktop/laptop/tablet) - Classes are through the Zoom app.

  • Notebook, paper, and writing utensils

  • Quiet place to study with no distractions
