Students who want to enroll into the Remote ESL classes are required to do the following:
Must have a computer/laptop/tablet with internet access and the Zoom app downloaded
Complete registration paperwork in-person or complete paperwork digitally
Be administered the Best Oral and Best Literacy Baseline Assessment Test in-person or remotely
Attend a Remote ESL Orientation (see dates below)
Attend an advising session with your ESL Instructor to discuss levels of learning and class information
Attend 40 or more instructional hours & miss no more than three absences in an 8-week session
Be active and complete at least 2 hours per week in the distance learning curriculum
Remote Orientations are held through the Zoom platform. You will be required to have the updated version of the Zoom software downloaded onto the device you will be using for class.
