Head Start School Nurse Corner
The Family Service Worker/Advocate may ask you to lead the health training for your site. Another nurse or health official from your area may also be asked to provide the training. The parents at your site can choose any topic, which is usually discussed at EHS/HS parent orientation.
EHS/Head Start has a training session called "What to Do When Your Child Gets Sick". The script and materials (such as thermometers, dosage spoons, and first-aid kits) may be available to each parent household that attends. The FSWA will order these supplies as needed before the meeting date.
Please contact your EHS/HS nurse for more information regarding health training.
