In-person paper-based practice testing with a score of 10 percentage points above the state passing standard for each particular exam is required to obtain access to register for the TExES.
Requires forty (40) hours of work to be completed within Certify Teacher.
Challenge the Certify Teacher full-length practice exam and earn a minimum score of 10 percentage points above the state passing standard. The state passing standard varies between certification exams.
Scheduled paper-based tests (PBT) criteria: passing score 10% points above the state passing standard on the first attempt.

Pass approved practice test within four (4) months from admission
From date of test approval for TEXES exam, candidate must pass TEXES within four (4) months.
Exited from TOPP should candidate not pass practice exam within four months.
STR preparation will occur before TExES content preparation.
