TOPP Candidates seeking EC-12 Special Education
TOPP Candidates seeking EC-12 Special Education
- 240 Tutoring online test preparation and practice testing do not count towards the 300 hour training requirement.
- Candidates seeking ONLY EC-12 Special Education must pass a TOPP approved practice test within four (4) months of admission to TOPP.
- Candidates seeking ONLY Special Education certification and not passing a Core exam will only be eligible to be placed in “inclusion” setting placements.
Note: School districts may require special education applicants to have a content TExES and EC-12 Special Education exam passed.

- If teaching assignment requires providing content instruction in a special education classroom setting a valid certificate that matches the subject and grade level of the assignment is also required.
