Training of District Trainers - TEA MaterialS

Region 14 will offer Texas Educators' Ethics Training of Trainers (TOT)- TEA created materials. District Personnel can go back and provide this required training to district staff. According to TEA master training that took place on March 2017 the following will meet the requirements for the new ethic training:

• The training must be done face to face with staff. The training cannot be offered in an online format.
• Every participant must receive a Participant Journal
• The training is to be done in six one-hour modules that cover the following subjects:
  • Module 1- Teacher & Student Personal Boundaries
  • Module 2- Educator-Student Interaction, Including Social Media
  • Module 3- Student Discipline & Teacher Anger Management
  • Module 4- Teachers as Role Models: Conduct Outside of School
  • Module 5- Confronting & Reporting Borderline Behavior
  • Module 6- Role of Administrator in the Prevention & Intervention of Inappropriate Behavior
• The modules can be offered in one six hour day, two three hour days, six one-hour days, or any time frame desired as long as all six modules are covered.
• The TEA "The Campus" Ethics Videos no longer meet the legal requirements of training.
