Our Classroom
On this page, you can have a little nosy around some of the different areas in our classroom.
Literacy Land
In Literacy Land there is our class library with books such as David Walliams, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Artemis Fowl and A Series of Unfortunate Events that we can borrow to read at any time. There is a rug and comfy cushions that we can use when reading. There are pictures of the main characters from some of the best children's books and road signs showing you where to go to get to famous literary lands such as Narnia, Hogwarts and the Emerald City.
We also have the Writing Station where we can go to write creative stories inspired by pictures, take a question card to get us thinking, or find templates for newspapers, diary entries, postcards and letters.
We love reading in it!
Creation Station
At the Creation Station we can get arty! There's a giant roll of paper with doodles on it that we can colour as well as plain paper for designing our own things. There are paper dolls to make, resources such as lollipop sticks, sticky tape and cotton wool balls, and stencils with themes such as under the sea creatures and dinosaurs.
Mandarin Wall
To support us with our Mandarin learning we have our Mandarin wall.
Here you can see pictures to help us remember the numbers 1 to 10.
The Chinese characters for the numbers are built into the pictures. Can you spot them?
iHelp
These are our class helper jobs. They make sure we all work together as the Primary 6c team!
Every Monday the jobs change around so that everybody gets a chance to do everything.
Here are our jobs:
Calendar Monitor, Messenger, Line Leader, Jotter Monitor, Lunch Monitor, Clean Up Crew, Ask Me, Light Monitor, Librarian, Class Blogger, Photographer and Technology Manager.
